If none of our pre-existing tastings are catching your eye, get in touch with us about a bespoke tasting. Prices for bespoke tastings are on request and will vary depending on what kind of tasting you're looking for.
Please reach out to us at contact@runnerducklancaster.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Drop us an email to let us know you are interested in a private wine tasting. We'll help you pick a theme if you haven't decided already, and advise on times/dates we have available. We require a £50 pre-payment to secure your booking. This is non-refundable, but will be deducted from your final bill, which is payable on the day before the tasting starts, or you can settle in advance if you would prefer to get it out of the way.
You can pick from our list of preexisting tastings on this page, or you can request a bespoke tasting, which are priced on a case by case basis. In all cases, everyone participating will receive the same wines. We can, on occasion, tweak existing tastings to suit the group, but we do not offer alternative tastings for people who do not want to drink wine.
The bar and deli will be open throughout, should you wish to order any other drinks, or food to enjoy alongside the wine. If you are a large group, we may advise or ask you to pre order your food so we can have it ready for your arrival.
Our tastings typically take around two hours. We can run them on any day of the week, and will work with you to find a suitable start time, however any tastings on Fridays and Saturdays must start by 3:30pm at the latest.
If you've got people in your group who want to attend but not participate in the tasting, they are welcome to come along, however please ensure they are aware that they are attending an event that requires a little co-operation from everyone involved to run smoothly, and that includes anyone who is not participating. They do not need to pay for the tasting, but we still need to know that they are coming so we can ensure your table is big enough for everyone. They will be responsible for purchasing and paying for their own drinks/food.
Our pre-existing private tasting themes are made up of wines we stock in the bar that we have reliable access to. This allows us to keep the price lower and offer tastings to smaller groups. Our public tastings are planned and written from scratch every month, have a slightly bigger budget, and often use wines we have sourced from further afield.
