We have forty-eight wines on our main menu and a regular rotation of guest wines. Our menu has been carefully constructed to cover a wide range of flavour profiles and styles of wine, including some more unfamiliar grapes that are hard to come by in Lancaster bars. Our menu includes organic wine, vegetarian wine, and vegan wine. Almost half of our menu is available by the glass.
We work with our suppliers to source quality wine that we can sell for a price that is accessible to as many people as possible. We’re not interested in stocking expensive wine that is going to sit on a shelf gathering dust, we’d much rather focus on finding delicious, affordable wine that hits the spot and doesn’t break the bank. We also work hard to stock wines you might not have tried before, and keep our range unique to Runner Duck. It’s unlikely that you’ll find our wines in other bars in Lancaster, and you definitely won’t find them in the supermarkets.
Alongside our wine we also have a deli, offering indulgent cheese and charcuterie boards, and lighter nibbles that are the perfect accompaniment to our wine. Our cheese and cured meats come from a quality supplier on the edge of the Lake District, and we get our bread from the bakery right across the road. We’ll always have our core range of tried and tested favourite cheeses in the deli counter, and usually a special, something seasonal or a little off the wall.
We’re super proud to be an independent, local business and part of Lancaster’s vibrant night-time economy (although we are also open during the day at the weekends!). If you’re looking for places to go in Lancaster, pop down to the Duck and check out what we’re about. Whilst you’re here, be sure to pop next door to our sister venue Tipple Cocktails, if you’re in the mood for something other than wine. Any questions? Just contact us and drop us an email.
